Below is a roundup of top stories on the 2022 UTME examination…
JAMB Results 2022 Finally Released [See New Way To Check]
After much anticipation by candidate, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has finally released the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination( UTME) results.
The results, however, were not uploaded on the examination body’s official website as usual, but a simple method of checking has been provided for the time being.
Naija News reports that Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, revealed this in a statement on Saturday.
How to check JAMB 2022 UTME results:
Different from the traditional way, the exam body this time, directed candidates to send UTMERESULT to 55019 using the same phone number that was used for registration to get their JAMB results on the palms.
The statement reads: “To check the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, all a candidate needs to do is to simply send UTMERESULT to 55019 using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration and the result would be returned as a text message. This is the only process of checking the 2022 UTME results for now as the Board has not uploaded it on its website for obvious reasons.”
Check Out High Number Of Blind Candidates That Sat For UTME In Kano
No fewer than 78 physically challenged candidates took part in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) being conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The JAMB Coordinator for the Kano centre Yahuza Bello, revealed the number while speaking with journalists shortly after monitoring the exercise at the School of Continuing Education, Bayero University Kano (BUK) on Thursday.
Bello, a former vice chancellor of BUK, said the 78 candidates were from the Kano centre, which includes Kano, Kaduna, Katsina and Jigawa.
According to him, since 2017 when JAMB inaugurated the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG) under the leadership of Prof. Is-haq Oloyede to champion the cause of People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) in the conduct of its examinations, the number of candidates sitting for the examination has increased, which is encouraging.
