Sassa Changes SRD R350 Grant Payment Schedule
In today’s SASSA News, Sassa has announced that they have changed the payment date plan in response to a number of complaints from social grant recipients about their award payment deadlines.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) recently stated that the payment dates for social grants had been changed.
Social grant payments will be made on the second day of the month starting in April 2022, according to the agency. Payments will be paid on the next working day if the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, according to Sassa.
The organization also noted that they will follow the standard method of prioritizing the pay of elderly people and connected awards first, then disability payments the next day, and finally kid grants.
Grant recipients must present the relevant documentation to guarantee that their grant payments are processed quickly and efficiently.
Sassa administers grants and allowances for individuals and groups in South Africa who require financial support. Grants are available for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
Grant payments can be made in a variety of ways. They can be paid with a bank account, an SASSA card, a Post Office, or CashSend.
