Omokri Reacts As Jonathan Picks APC 2023 Presidential Form, Reveals Interesting ‘Facts’

Controversial socio-political activist, Reno Omokri has reacted to the news of his former principal, Goodluck Jonathan joining the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Naija News had reported earlier that former President Jonathan on Monday picked up the presidential nomination and expression of interest form of the ruling APC.

The news has since stirred a barrage of reactions on and off social media as lovers of the former president and concerned Nigerians expressed their individual views on Jonathan’s new political movement.

It was reported that a Coalition of Northern groups picked up the presidential form on behalf of the former Nigerian leader on Monday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Speaking with reporters after picking up the form, members of the coalition said Jonathan is the most qualified to take Nigeria to the next level in 2023.

Members of the coalition were spotted wearing face caps and t-shirts with the inscription ‘run Jonathan run’.

Recall that Jonathan took over leadership of Nigeria in 2011 following the demise of his principal, Umar Musa Yar’Adua.

He ruled under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and also pursued reelection under the same party but lost to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, Naija News reports.

Jonathan’s unannounced defection to the APC has since generated concerns across the country.

While Nigerians are still curious about the development, Omokri, moments after the alleged purchase of the APC form by Jonathan today, took to his Twitter page to say that his next update will disappoint people about the viral reports of Jonathan’s presidential bid.

The book writer tweeted: “To those who think I am in a dilemma, just be patient. You will all be so disappointed with yourselves and your premature celebration when you see my next tweet. I am, after all, the #TableShaker! You guys are so easy to manipulate. They just yank your chain and you drink kunu.”

Omokri added in another post: “After I tweet, somebody should please go and check on that bitter leaf boardroom and possible bedroom partner of that beautiful hypocrite, to make sure she does not drink sniper tonight. You know yourself. I could have tweeted since. But I wanted to yank your chain.”

Stating his position on Jonathan’s alleged APC presidential form purchase, Omokri tweeted: “First of all, to whet your appetite, let me say that under the rain and under the sun, I will follow Jonathan. Secondly, I can’t ever be one with APC. Thirdly, nobody can shave HE @GEJonathan’s head in his absence. Read between the lines. More to come!”
