It is my hope that the benefits of the N-Power graduating batches A and B would not be forgotten. We continued to reassure these gathered youths through various means that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development had collaborated closely with the Central Bank of Nigeria to accomplish their goal.
Today marks the start of the long-awaited training that will enable those who have expressed an interest in participating in the CBN empowerment initiative to do so.
This training program will be completed in stages to make coordination easier. I’d also like to let you know that all 36 states and the FCT are taking part in the much-anticipated NEXIT training program. This first training batch had a total of 75,600 participants. In the near future, we will continue to train the remaining batches.
The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development is dedicated to ensuring that all social intervention programs’ strategic objectives are harnessed in order to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
The N-Power program is a major component of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development’s National Social Investment Programs, which are aimed to achieve the country’s poverty reduction and employment creation goals. The N-Power initiative is critical in assisting young Nigerians in acquiring and developing life-long skills that would enable them to become community solution providers and entrepreneurs.”
The Permanent Secretary, who was represented by Director Planning, Research, and Statistics Raphael Oraeluno, charged the recipients to make wise use of the opportunity in his welcome message.
I’d like to underline that every trainee must view this once-in-a-lifetime chance as a gift that must not be squandered. Consider how we arrived to this point. You’ve finally been given this chance. Maintain the utmost level of seriousness in whatever you are taught during the training program and thereafter. As beneficiaries, you will receive the appropriate training to ensure your participation in the CBN package created specifically for this purpose.”
Dr. Umar Bindir alac, the National Coordinator for National Social Investment Programs, recommended people to take advantage of the CBN package in order to become self-sufficient.
Beneficiaries who qualify would receive loans of up to three million Naira with a maximum tenure of seven years at the end of the five-day course.
