Leave car, use bike: Mayor Subhash Singh appeals to CMC employees

Cuttack: Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Mayor Subhash Singh during the second Council Meeting of the civic body appealed to the CMC employees to use bikes instead of cars to visit every ward and lane of the city.

During the meeting, he said that the grass root problems will be solved only when the CMC employees visit their concerned wards and lanes to inspect the issues and find solutions for the same.

The CMC Mayor also came down heavily on the Junior Engineers (JEs) of CMC and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He also warned them of stringent action if they do not work properly. Besides, he asked the CMC employees who live outside the City to reach the office on time.

Several corporators raised different problems like waterlogging, garbage disposal and bad road conditions to discuss during the meeting. Following this, the Mayor directed the concerned officials to clean all the drains of the Millennium City before the onset of the Monsoon.
