Netflix’s Gray Man Movie Image Gives New Look At Chris Evans’ Villain

A new image from Netflix’s upcoming movie, The Gray Man offers a fresh glimpse at Chris Evans’ psychopathic villain. With a budget of $200 million, The Gray Man is set to be Netflix’s most expensive original film yet and will tell the story of Ryan Gosling’s CIA agent “Sierra Six” who goes on the run following the discovery of a number of insider secrets. Hot on his tail in this action-packed thriller is his ex-colleague, Lloyd Hansen (played by Evans) alongside a number of international assassins.
Much of what can be expected from The Gray Man has remained shrouded in mystery, with only a small number of glimpses having previously been included in Netflix’s 2022 preview trailer. The film will adapt Mark Greaney’s book series of the same name and will be helmed by Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame director duo, Joe and Anthony Russo. The pair will reunite with Marvel screenwriters, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely who will provide the script. Alongside Gosling and Evans, the film will also see No Time To Die‘s Ana de Armas and Bridgerton‘s Regé-Jean Page star.
Now, audiences have received an exciting glimpse at Evans’ antagonist, which has been shared by Empire as part of their summer preview. Accompanied by a brief conversation with the star in which he offers a small insight into his character, Hansen, a new image has also been exclusively released. The image sees Evans standing with co-star, Jessica Henwick, who both appear to anxiously watching something out of view of the shot. Check out the image below.

The image also provides another look at Evans’ impressive mustache which has been a hot topic surrounding his character within The Gray Man, with the actor recently taking to Twitter to share that he had officially parted ways with it. While this image is one of the very few official teases that have been released surrounding the film, Evans has been rather active on social media throughout The Gray Man‘s production, sharing various BTS looks at this exciting upcoming role. The Gray Man is expected to have a limited theatrical run beginning July 15, before releasing on Netflix just one week later on July 22.
With no official trailer as of yet, very little is known about Evans’ villain and his true motives going into the story. With the incredibly high budget that this film boasts, expectations for this upcoming Netflix project are certainly high, with many excited to see Evans take on a more antagonist role, akin to his recent appearance in Knives Out. With just over two months to go until audiences finally get their hands on The Gray Man, many will likely be hoping that this new image is just the beginning of the exciting promotional material that will be released in the run-up to this film.
