Fortnite: How To Block Hits Using A Lightsaber | Screen Rant

Newly added Star Wars-themed quests, weapons and items have dropped to the Fortnite Battle Royale map, and players have a lot of work to do for an enormous sum of XP in return. In addition, with the return of lightsabers brings a whole new style of gameplay which will be highly beneficial in the recently added zero-build mode in Fortnite. Unfortunately, however, there isn’t a sure way for players to get their hands on a lightsabre, so the search for one will be down to chance entirely. However, this is where visual sound effects will play very well, as players will be able to see every chest surrounding them, which may contain a lightsaber.
Two Fortnite lightsaber challenges have come with the new update, one of which is to block ten hits from opponents with the lightsaber. To block hits, players have to hold down either the left trigger, on console, or on PC, whatever button they have chosen to use to aim down sights. When an enemy has decided to engage in combat with a player, using the lightsaber while facing the enemy will cause it to block any incoming damage.
After players get their hands on a lightsaber, they should head to the current POI, where the battle with the IO guards and Fortnites heroes The Seven is taking place. Having these multiple guards with very predictable movements will give players the best chance to use the lightsaber to block as many hits as possible to complete the quest without any distraction from actual enemy players. After the players have successfully blocked ten hits from enemies, the quest will be marked as complete, and Fortnite will grant 30 thousand XP.

There are four new available lightsabers for players to pick up in the game with this new Fortnite Star Wars update. They do not do any different damage amounts but only appear different visually in the way of color.
- Luke Skywalker: Green Lightsaber
- Kylo Ren: Red Lightsaber
- Obi-Wan Kenobi: Blue Lightsaber
- Mace Windu: Purple Lightsaber
Of course, the color of the lightsaber doesn’t matter to the Lightsaber challenge in Fortnite, so whichever one player gets their hands on will work for the quest. Players can also use the lightsaber for the rest game as a melee weapon. The weapon can be pretty hard to defeat unless an enemy player manages to get behind and shoot from there. So players should enjoy the weapon for the rest of the event until it is removed from Fortnite on May 17th.
Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
