The Grafted Dragon is a Melee Armament in Elden Ring. It is the dragon head that Godrick the Grafted uses in the Stormveil Castle boss fight. The Melee Armament itself is a scaled-down version to fit the player’s hand. Players can unlock the Grafted Dragon by obtaining the Remembrance of the Grafted Key Item from defeating Godrick the Grafted in Elden Ring.
Players will then return to the Roundtable of Grace and speak with Finger Reader Enia. When players do get to Finger Reader Enia, they will have a choice of receiving either the Axe of Godrick or the Grafted Dragon, the Grafted Dragon will cost 2000 Runes to purchase. Take note, when a player uses the Remembrance of the Grafted it is a one-time purchase. Players will not be able to receive the Axe of Godrick unless they duplicate the Remembrance at a Walking Mausoleum.
In order to properly wield the Grafted Dragon, players must have a minimum Stat requirement of 20 Strength, 14 Dexterity, and 16 Faith. The Grafted Dragon primarily scales with the Strength, Dexterity, and Faith Stats as well. It is a unique Melee Armament in the Fist Class, as players will not be able to Two-hand the Grafted Dragon in Elden Ring, like other Fist Melee Armaments.
The Elden Ring Ash of War that comes with the Grafted Dragon is a unique one called “Bear Witness!”. Activating “Bear Witness!” will cost 20 FP every use and once activated, it will charge the dragon’s head into the ground and bring it up causing a fiery explosion. This explosion will disperse fireballs around the player causing the ground to burn up. This is unique because the fire that is dispersed will continue to burn enemies that stand on it, allowing players to do damage over time. The player will also be immune to all fire damage caused by this Ash of War.
“Bear Witness!” can be very useful against big groups of enemies and large bosses. With the ability to create pools of fire, players can strategize doing fire damage to Elden Ring enemies and keep a safe distance from their attacks. Against big groups, enemies will become hesitant to attack the player when being damaged, creating opportunities for counterattacks or a tactical retreat. Against large bosses, players will be able to damage the enemy without the need to physically attack them, creating more opportunities to dodge or block incoming attacks.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
