Destiny 2: Legend (& Master) Extraction Lost Sector Guide

The Extraction Lost Sector in Destiny 2 can be difficult to beat on Legend and Master difficulty, especially if Guardians are trying to get Exotic armor for completing them solo. With the right weapons, armor mods, and abilities, however, players can make this Lost Sector an easily farmable one that can be completed in under 10 minutes on Master, and even faster on Legend.

All Legend and Master Lost Sectors have set modifiers that will not change throughout Season of the Risen in Destiny 2. Both difficulties will always feature the Limited Revives, Equipment Locked, Match Game, and Champion Foes modifiers regardless of the Lost Sector. Additionally, Master difficulty will always have the Champion: Mob modifier, which brings additional champions into the Lost Sector.

For both Legend and Master difficulty Extraction Lost Sector in Destiny 2, Guardians will have to complete the activity while facing Overload and Unstoppable Champions. Additionally, both difficulties will have Raider Shield and Shielded Foes active, which means they’ll need to deal damage to opponents with Arc and Void shields. Arc Burn is active as well, allowing Guardians to deal an extra 50% damage with their weapons and abilities, but receive an extra 50% Arc damage in return. Guardians with higher Character Stats in Destiny 2 should still be mindful of the 50% increase to Arc damage received, particularly because there is a Lucent Hive Wizard as for the Lost Sector’s boss.

These are the recommended Mods Guardians should equip in their armor:

• Lucent Finisher
• Overload Void Grenades
• Bountiful Wells
• Elemental Ordnance (x3)
• Thermoshock Plating
• Unstoppable Hand Cannon or Pulse Rifle (Needed)
• Overloaded Rounds (Needed)

These are the recommended weapons and rolls Guardians should use in the Extraction Lost Sector:

• Any Kinetic or Stasis SMG or Auto Rifle – Vorpal Weapon and second perk preference
• Crisis Inverted or Insidious – Demolitionist/Adaptive Munitions
• The Hothead – Tracking Module/Vorpal Weapon
• Exotic Weapon Substitutes – Gjallarhorn, Osteo Striga, Monte Carlo

Utilizing Void 3.0 builds in Destiny 2 for Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters, Guardians should consider these Exotic armor pieces, Supers, and abilities.

• Warlock – Nove Bomb: Cataclysm with Eye of Another World or Nezarec’s Sin
• Titan – Word of Dawn with Helm of Saint-14 or Heart of Inmost Light
• Hunter – Shadowshot: Moebius Quiver with Orpheus Rig or Graviton Forfeit
• Needed Aspects & Fragments – Echo of Obscurity
• Grenade – Vortex
• Class Ability – Preference

Crisis Inverted or Insidious should be the main damage dealers because of the Arc burn. An SMG or Auto Rifle with Vorpal Weapon will help defeat Overload Champions more quickly. Any Rocket Launcher with a Tracking Module is a great option if players don’t have The Hothead, but The Hothead can take advantage of the 50% Arc burn as well. Alternatively, Gjallarhorn and its Wolfpack Rounds in Destiny 2 will deal a comparable amount of damage.

Although Arc Supers and abilities would benefit from the Arc burn as well, Void Supers and abilities will help make quick work of enemies with Void shields. Additionally, Master difficulty has four Overload Champions, making the Overload Void Grenades mod perfect for this Lost Sector in Destiny 2. Echo of Obscurity will allow Guardians to turn invisible after finishing an enemy, making it easier to capture the three zones and avoid enemy fire.
